redundant post.
Not updating for long, don't know what to blog about.KINDA not motivated to blog anymore, I keep the memories in my heart. Heh. I'm going off to bed soon, this is a redundant post but bear with it. School has been tiring, and I'm trying to manage the slowly increasing workload. Assignments will soon be suffocating me I guess, to date, I've a total of 3 assignments due in about 2-3 weeks time. And Boyfriend, if you're reading this. Please know Diona hasn't been receiving sweet little messages from you anymore. My last sweet surprise message from you was from don't know when. And I miss that feeling, to be surprised and grinning away. :( Revive that feeling of mine, will you? Where did all the messages go? :( Good night. Tuesday, August 24, 2010
August is coming to an end.
Hello guys, back to update after a power nap!Eyes were aching and so irritated just now in the afternoon that I headed for a couple of hours of nap in my living room, woke up much better. But my eyes are still having problems, its damn irritating. I hate it when its dry and aching and everything is so glaring to me. I need to hide in a damn dim room I guess. :/ Today is the 24th of August, 4 more days to my 21st birthday, aren't looking forward much to it. No major celebrations, no party, no nothing and I'm fine with it. Who says I need my majorly celebrate my 21st birthday? As long as I'm happy, everyday is like my birthday. (: School starting in less than a week's time. (Excited much?) I know I gotta be good, and study hard, school fees are really expensive. Parents gave me a chance and support me to persue further studies. I thank them and I'll make good this opportunity. Will be getting my belated birthday present from Dad on the September 12, or somewhere near to that date, my I Phone 4 for my 21st from Daddy! I guess thats the only thing that I'm looking forward to for so longggg. Waited a couple of months for it already, I can't wait. (: B won't be here on the actual date of my 21st, he's in camp I guess, nah. Disappointed but its not what he wants either. So army quotes taught by him, lan lan suck thumb lo. :/ Needs to clear D's personal financial crisis first, its a more important concern before anything now. :( Wednesday and Thursday gonna be working with QY Sis, then Friday (27th) going to meet up with my poly mates. Been couple of months since I last met them up, last time was in June for V's birthday party, and not all were present. We're heading to the Universal Studios Singapore if time allows. Then we can do dinner at Vivo after that, sit down, chill and catch up. (: Trying to reduce the time I spend on my computer, its affecting my eyesight and glaring my eyes. :( By 10pm, I'll log off from my laptop! Promise! Then watch TV or sit in the balcony staring at the greens. HAHA, good night loves. (: Happy remaining August to all, and may September be a happier month for all. Hope everything runs smoothly, and D wishes for better eye condition. I regretted not taking care of my eyes since young. Glasses are so not cool now. :( Sunday, August 22, 2010

After that, out we went to next activity. Superb last minute decision by B and I. To join the brother and girlfriend to go cycling at ECP. He wanted to blade with the brother and gf one, but I made him cycle with me, and he superb haolian yaya one! Tsk. Thank you lah B, love you! Heh. (: Evening time, all sweaty and smelly. Settled for drinks at the eating place there. Chatted, rested then they drove B and I back to my place. Prepared, and he set off to take cab from my place. glasses for a new look? :(
I'm just gonna blog for a short while before I prepare for bed.Went to work at Qianyi Sis's shop today, love working with her. Because we just keep munching, non stopping. But bad point is, I'm so tempted by her I phone 4 accessories, and seeing her paste screen guards for customers makes me want my I phone 4 here so bad. Terrible temptations to control. :( And she got me munch munch during her trip to HK and TW. Thank you sis for the gummies and chocolates. Love you for that. Am gonna work with her tomorrow again. (: I went to work today with my glasses. Yes, my glasses. My thick framed black glasses, looking like a nerd and total geek is so not me. I don't want to rely on my glasses, because I think I look nicer if I just ditch it. But I can't already, my eyes are impaired without it, vision reduced greatly to the extend it causes me so much headaches and giddy spells. So no choice, people just accept my look with glasses alright! :( Its Wednesday night already, and tomorrow will be Thursday! Then Friday is here, and Saturday! Whooppieeee. Friday marks B coming back from field camp all sweaty, smelly and tired. I miss him so much already. 2 more days. Heh. (: Okay, eyes are acting up! Gonna reduce the time on my laptop now, bad for eyes. Gonna load up on carrots, nuts and whatever nonsense shit that can help me! Say no to computer and online now. Good night! Byeeee. Glasses for work again tomorrow! What to wear to reduce the geek look?! No goooooo. Argh. :( Tuesday, August 17, 2010
food to ease headache. (:
When a headache strikes, you may run through your usual routine:
Turn out the lights, lie down and pop a pain pill. But did you know that certain foods may ease, and even prevent, headaches? Add these soothing foods to your shopping list and find out for yourself. 1. Baked Potato The side you love with dinner could help soothe your aching head, especially if your headache is alcohol-related, says Erin Palinski, RD, a registered dietician in private practice in New Jersey. “Since alcohol is a diuretic, it can not only cause dehydration, but also cause you to lose electrolytes such as potassium,” she says.“Eating potassium-rich foods can help to alleviate hangover-related headaches.” Surprisingly, a baked potato (with the skin) is one of the most impressive sources of potassium, containing a whopping 721 mg. By comparison, a banana serves up 467 mg. 2. Watermelon Dehydration is a major cause of headaches, explains Stella Metsovas, BS, CN, a nutritionist in private practice in Laguna Beach, California. So instead of popping a pain pill next time your head throbs, consider reaching for water-rich foods, like watermelon. “The natural water contained in both fruits and vegetables contains essential minerals, like magnesium, that are key in headache prevention,” she says. Try this tasty, hydrating watermelon smoothie: In a blender, combine 2 cups seeded watermelon chunks, 1 cup cracked ice, ½ cup plain yogurt, a drizzle of honey and ½ tsp grated ginger. Blend and enjoy. (Bonus: The ginger can help ease headache-induced nausea symptoms!) Other foods with high water content include berries, cucumber, melon, soups, oatmeal, tomatoes and lettuce. 3. Coffee Java has been a folk remedy for headaches for centuries, but does it really work? Yes, but in moderation, says Palinski. “Alcohol can cause blood vessels to expand, exasperating headaches,” she explains. “Since the caffeine in coffee is a vasoconstrictor, it can help alleviate a headache by helping to reduce the size of the blood vessels.” But hold off on the triple venti. Too much coffee could make matters worse. “Caffeine is also a diuretic, which can increase dehydration and increase the severity of a headache,” adds Palinski. “The bottom line: One cup of coffee may be helpful for decreasing hangover-related headaches, but drinking coffee throughout the day would not be the best choice for curing a headache.” 4. Whole-Grain Toast Low-carb dieters beware: Too little carbohydrates and you might bring on a headache. “When you follow a low-carbohydrate diet, you begin to deplete glycogen stores, which are a main source of energy to the brain,” says Palinski. “This also causes an increase in fluid losses from the body, which can trigger dehydration. By reducing energy to the brain and causing dehydration, these low-carbohydrate diets can trigger headaches.” When one hits, consider reaching for healthy carbs, such as those found in whole-wheat bread, oatmeal, fruit or yogurt. Bonus: A healthy boost of carbs may also improve your mood, as they help your body to release serotonin, the feel-good hormone. 5. Almonds According to past research, magnesium, found in almonds, may protect your body from the brunt of a headache by relaxing blood vessels. Migraine sufferers may also experience relief by following a diet rich in magnesium, some experts believe. “To increase your magnesium intake, try consuming magnesium-rich foods such as bananas, dried apricots, avocados, almonds, cashews, brown rice, legumes and seeds,” suggests Palinski. 6. Spicy Salsa Can you say caliente? It may sound unusual, but spicy foods such as salsa and hot peppers may help you snap back from a headache faster. “Depending on the type of headache, spicy foods may be helpful,” says Palinski. “If a headache is due to sinus congestion, spicy foods may help to decrease congestion and open the airways, helping to decrease pressure and the accompanying headache. 7. Yogurt When your head is pounding, your body may be calling out for calcium, says Metsovas. “The brain depends on calcium to function efficiently,” she adds. “Make sure you are consuming calcium-rich foods, like fat-free plain Greek yogurt, which is a great source of calcium, with no added sugars and beneficial probiotics for your gut.” 8. Sesame Seeds Sprinkle them on salads, in oatmeal or on top of soups and stir-fries. Why? These tiny seeds pack a big nutritional punch. “Sesame seeds are rich in vitamin E, which may help to stabilize estrogen levels and prevent migraines during your period,” says Palinski. “It also improves circulation, which helps prevent headaches.” Bonus: Sesame seeds are also rich in magnesium, which may give them added headache-preventing power. 9. Spinach Salad What worked for Popeye may work for your headache. “Spinach has been shown to help decrease blood pressure, prevent hangovers and may help to alleviate headaches,” says Palinksi. “Try using spinach leaves instead of lettuce for a headache-preventing power salad.” This summer salad is packed with headache-soothing foods: Toss together 2 cups spinach leaves, 3/4 cups cubed watermelon, 1/2 cup chopped dried apricots and 2 Tbsp chopped walnuts or almonds, and drizzle with raspberry vinaigrette. Looks like I'm really gonna load up on all these food in my fridge already. :( credits to: http://shine.yahoo.com/channel/health/9-foods-that-can-help-soothe-a-headache-1888350/ Monday, August 16, 2010
